Hey all,
First I have to say thanks for all your advice so far, I really
appreciate it! I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of
things, especially since I stayed up 'till 3am last night/morning
'cause I was on a roll! I completely cleared out the Super Duper Mart
and the Springvale school! WOOT! Is there anything special to be
done in the Ant tunnel beneath the school? I read a note about
poisoning them and then setting off a bomb.
I've decided to focus on sniping skills and language skills. I'm
tired of melee combat in my games, and for me, sneaking is more fun
(and less stressful). Is the Hunting Rifle the best weapon to go with
for now if I'm going to focus on sniping?
I've been trying the "Those!" quest (LOVE the movie reference there!)
but those Fire Ants are lighting me up like a Fourth of July BBQ! Is
there a special tactic to apply here?
I also have the Galaxy News Radio, Wasteland Survival Guide, and Blood
Ties quests active. I've patrolled the river a bit just north of
Grayditch, but the other side seems quite populated with bad guys, and
I feel like I need to level a bit and gather more equipment. Is Blood
Ties a fairly simple starter quest?
Are there any items other than weapons, ammo, food and water that are
worth picking up? I've noticed lots of parts laying around. Do those
come in handy later when you want to make a rocket launcher? Also,
how soon will I get a house where I can stash stuff?
Finally, is there an easier way to determine what items can be picked
up or searched other than running the mouse pointer over everything?
Thanks again!--- Synchronet 3.19b-Win32 NewsLink 1.113

As for the house, if your science is ok, you could boost it with mentats
to defuse the bomb, and get the house from the get go. I managed that on
one of my play throughs.
No, the bomb in Megaton? You need high science, then you activate the control panel on the nuke.

I thought that quest used Explosives, at least that is what it tells me.
Not that it is that hard to get a sufficient level with them.
