Quotes:
"80% Meristation..
Fun, large and with many things to do, Risen is a good game for medieval RPG lovers. It has its flaws, specially due to technical issues, but overall
it's a great experience, where every choice has its consequences. The great storyline and the different paths that we can follow are the strongest
points of this game.

80% SpazioGames..
While Gothic sails away to other developers, Piranha Bytes turns the tide with this return to the origins of true RPG. Deep, polished, compelling, Risen is an RPG for RPG true lovers. Some small glitches and a general lack of accessibility make it step down a little bit on the score, but it's still THE game to have if you love RPGs."
Enthusiastic comments but a lowish 80% ???? At least theres no sign of
those horrendous Gothic release Bugs & not finished state.
Well remember most european reviewers are less 'generous' with their
scores. A score of 80+ there is probably as good (if not better in
some cases) than a 90+ in the US (mostly hype biased/advertisement >induced/...)

I've always found PC Gamer's scores to be fairly aligned with my own standards (i.e. somewhat less generous than mainstream US website
reviews). Not sure how many folks would say the same thing (i.e. I'm acknowledging that it could be purely coincidental that their rating
system has been relatively in sync with my opinion for all these
years). Downside is by the time the magazine arrives, often I've
already bought the game. Aside from that, and maybe metascore, I tend
to put more value in user scores than critic scores.

also think that Spore is a 95 or so score game? lol
